Just recently Ubisoft announced and released minor details on their next Far Cry game, aptly named Far Cry 4. The artwork had some guy in a pink button shirt sitting on a rock-like pedestal with a rocket launcher and machine gun by his side. To the right of him you could those coloured little flags that might remind you of Nepal in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Well, now it seems Ubisoft’s own UPlay.com uploaded a more detailed description by mistake, thankfully the interwebz was there to take advantage of that blunder before they removed it:
Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence,” Ubisoft wrote. “You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.
The first paragraph sounds a little depressing, but that second one has us wondering just how open world Ubisoft plans to go with this. Be sure not to miss out on their E3 conference this year!
