This week we have another very busy voice actress. Laura Bailey has been voicing video game characters since the early 2000s, but she’s been voicing animated characters since the nineties. Anime fans may recognise her from the English versions of Dragonball Z (where she played Trunks and Gotenks, among other characters), Fruits Basket, Naruto: Shippuden (where she voiced Yukimari and others), Bleach, Shin Chan and many more. She also voices Black Widow in several Marvel games and cartoon series. Her IMDB listing has over 300 entries!
In gaming, you might recognise Bailey’s voice from Final Fantasy XIII (where she voiced Serah), recent Street Fighter games (where she voiced Chun-Li), or several Saints Row games, where she was one of the voice options for the female player character.
First video game role: Rayne in BloodRayne (2002)
Notable roles: Jaina Proudmoore in the Blizzard universe, Serah Farron in the Final Fantasy XIII games, Abigail ‘Fetch’ Walker in the Infamous Second Son and First Light games
