With every release in the Gears of War franchise something new was always added to attempt an improvement for the series. Gears of War 3 introduced executions. This happens when you’ve downed an enemy that’s still alive and crawling aimlessly waiting to be revived by a companion. Should you get to him before he’s revived you can perform an execution that finishes him off and plays a different animation, depending on the weapon you’ve got equipped. Gears of War 4 is not about to end this trend.
In fact, the executions in Gears of War 4 promises to be quite brutal… and perhaps a little funny for some sadists. The official Xbox Twitter account uploaded the first execution last night on Twitter. Have a look and see for yourself:

As it states in the tweet above the Gears of War 4 beta starts on 18 April and the game will launch for Xbox One on 11 October.
