Remedy will fix Quantum Break on PC… as soon as Microsoft updates Windows 10

Remedy Entertainment is working on a patch to fix the issues in Quantum Break on PC. But a memory management issue that causes the game to crash needs some work from Microsoft on Windows 10 first.

Microsoft is aware of the problem and intends to address it in a future update.

“Microsoft has identified a Windows 10 memory management issue which may cause Quantum Break to crash on some GPUs. This crash is seen more frequently at higher game settings. Microsoft plans to fix this in a future Windows Update.”

Remedy apologised for the number of problems discovered in the PC version of the game, and is “working diligently” to resolve them. A forum post is being used to catalogue all known issues.

Certain hardware configurations are incapable of a smooth frame rate or crash often and Remedy hopes to launch a workaround patch by 1 May.

A list of known issues and workarounds can be found here, if you can’t wait for a patch.

Your move, Microsoft.
