Claudia Black is a name TV sci-fi fans will associate with Farscape or Stargate SG-1 from the late nineties and early 2000s. And if the names Aeryn Sun or Vala Mal Doran don’t mean anything to you, this Australian actress has also had numerous roles in video games over the past decade or so, starting with the Farscape game (I must admit I didn’t know that was a thing until now!) in 2002 and Lady Briana in Lords of EverQuest in 2003, to more recent roles in major games like Chloe Frazer in Uncharted 2 & 3, and Morrigan in the Dragon Age games.
Black also leant her voice to Artemis in God of War (2005). A’Kanna in Conan (2007), Helena in Crysis (2007), the narrator in Final Fantasy XIV (2010), Fraya in Tera (2011), Sam Byrne in Gears of Wars 3 (2011), Cydaea, Maiden of Lust in Diablo III (2012), as well as numerous characters in Mass Effect 2 and 3. Some of the other games Black has appeared in include Rage, The Amazing Spider-Man, Destiny and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
