Today’s voice actor is another who has been in very few games, but who stands out in those games. Yvonne Strahovski’s role as Miranda Lawson in the Mass Effect trilogy is one few players are likely to forget. The game used both Strahovski’s voice and her likeness, and I think they did a pretty good job with the latter. Her character was genetically engineered to be perfect, after all. Apparently Miranda was originally going to be blonde, but it was decided that black hair suited the femme fatale look better.
Strahovski also voiced Miranda for the 2009 iOS Mass Effect game you’ve probably never heard of. Outside of the ME franchise, she voiced the main character in the English version of PSP game The 3rd Birthday.
Outside of gaming, the Australian actress is probably most well known as Sarah Walker in the series Chuck. She’s also appeared in other series, including Dexter, headLand, The Astronaut Wives Club and 24: Live Another Day. She voiced Batwoman in the animated film Batman: Bad Blood.
I’ve included a video of Miranda’s introduction in Mass Effect 2, just in case you’ve forgotten how cool she was.
