PES 2017 has been out for a few weeks now while FIFA is releasing (officially) this week. Those who have Early Access have already been playing FIFA and it seems as though the reaction has been good on the whole. PES, as we know, is fantastic especially in terms of gameplay where it often counts most.
But how do the two games compare to each other? FIFA’s move to the Frostbite engine will definitely improve the look of the game, though it’s still to be seen how that truly affects the gameplay. Luckily, Digital Foundry who are the magicians of the game comparisons have uploaded a video showing the two games against each other, playing with one control.
It’s a cool video in terms of comparisons and while FIFA definitely looks a lot better in some aspects such as the field and stadiums, the player likenesses in PES are mostly better. There are exceptions to both throughout but it seems like PES is more fluid in the way the animations are put together. Truth is that both games look great yet again, and either way football fans win.
