Destiny: Rise of Iron has only been out for a week, and now rumours are flying around regarding the highly anticipated, yet unannounced sequel.
One of the big rumours, according to Kotaku seems to suggest that Destiny 2 will be released on PC as well, where the current game was only made available for consoles. The information on the PC version comes in the form of a NeoGAF post which stated he knew someone at Bungie who confirmed that Destiny 2 will indeed be on PC.
The game would apparently also take an entirely new route, with Bungie most likely starting from scratch, and leaving old areas, activities and characters behind, even starting the story of Destiny over. Rise of Iron was only released on current gen consoles, with memory issues cited as the reason for ditching support for the PS3 and Xbox 360. This will also have an influence on development for Destiny 2.
While all this is just rumour and speculation. A lot of it makes sense. Restarting from scratch might be a daunting prospect for those playing Destiny, but personally I don’t have a problem with that. But I would continue with the lore and story that has been set, but with more detail and a much stronger narrative.
We might get a few more rumours along with way, but I doubt we’ll see anything official before the PlayStation Experience later this year.
