Firewatch to get a limited physical release
Physical games always have a special place in my heart. I like to see myself as a collector and having the actual game case with their art and the disc on my shelf is so much more satisfying than some digital file on my console. It’s like getting a physical book and experiencing the smell and the texture, even if it’s more inconvenient than just reading the thing on your phone. We often get digital only titles that never see the light of the physical realm, but some companies provide a service to do exactly that.
Firewatch developers, Campo Santo, have teamed up with Limited Run Games to print a limited run of a retail edition of the game (huge surprise). This doesn’t mean that the game will be on store shelves, but rather available for a limited time and amount. Campo Santo has stated that this is more for collectors and the developers gave further incentive by including a fold-out map of Shoshone National Forest with every copy. It was also stated that they will only have 10 000 units available and will not print further copies after this run. The copies will be limited to PS4, as well.

So if you’re a huge fan of Firewatch, this might be of interest to you. They are not sure about the price just yet, but the tentative amount was placed at $24.99. They said that this will all happen before the end of the year, so you will have to be quick if you want to snag a copy.
