Firewatch gets its own vinyl soundtrack

Firewatch

Great news, Firewatch fans! You’ll soon be able to buy a vinyl record of the games’ stellar soundtrack. I’m a big fan of Firewatch, it was a big surprise to play a game that was so compact and yet so alive. What made it so incredible, apart from the great writing, is the tone of the music. In many ways, the melancholy music helps build emotion throughout the game, especially between the two main characters. The soundtrack’s composer, Chris Remo, did an excellent job.

According to Eurogamer, the record will cost $25 and will begin shipping on 1 December. The record pack includes the 160g 33 RPM 12″ vinyl album, a black inner sleeve and an extra thick case wrapped jacket. The game isn’t included, but I highly recommend buying and playing it if you haven’t done so already. It’s a short game that packs a lot of emotional and storytelling punch. Plus, the dialogue is great and voice acting is so good.

Check out the Camposanto website if you want to purchase the record.
