Nintendo yesterday released a new trailer for the remade and redesigned Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. This PlayStation 2 classic, developed by Level-5 (who also developed another gem – Ni No Kuni) and published by Square Enix, was originally released in 2004 in Japan and only came to Europe’s shores around 2006. The story of course follows a silent protagonist on a journey to save the Kingdom of Trodain and cure the cursed king and his daughter. If you missed out on this gem 10 years ago Nintendo has you covered with it being remade for the Nintendo 3DS, to be released on the 20th of January 2017.
The trailer below re-introduces returning fans and new fans to Dhoulmagus the games antagonist, the silent hero, Yangus the bandit, King Trode the cursed king, Jessica the mage and Angelo the Knight. The video also shows off some battle scenes and the open-world that players have access to in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. Check out the full trailer below and let us know if you’ll be picking this up in January 2017.
