Rumour: Looks like we’ll see Red Dead Redemption 2 in October

After the massive year that was 2016 it’s going to be a tough ask for 2017 to top it. That said, there are a few games that would like to challenge that statement and Red Dead Redemption 2 might just be that game. It’s arguably one of the biggest games of the year, and it now looks like we might have a possible release date for it.

It’s just a rumour for now, but a retailer in Britain has uploaded a pre-order page for the product along with a 2 October launch date. That happens to be on a Monday, which sounds a little fishy to us. Games generally launch on a Tuesday or Friday. We do think that the month of October makes sense to us as we know it’ll launch ‘Fall 2017’, but we’re not falling for that Monday date just yet.

What we do at least know is that the game will be launching on PS4 and Xbox One. No word on a launch for PC (or possibly Nintendo Switch), but don’t be surprised if it heads to PC with a graphical improvement a year later or so.
