Activision confirms Call of Duty to return to its roots and Destiny 2 in 2017
It’s probably the news many, many people have been praying and hoping for – Call of Duty will return to its roots and a Destiny sequel will launch this year still. In a shareholders meeting yesterday a document confirmed what we now know to be fact.
When you look at Call of Duty the word ‘roots’ could have many meanings to it. Call of Duty 2, which is still considered by many to be one of the best games in the series, is really where the fame began. It could be that they’re looking at finally producing a World War II game, but it might mean they’re referring to the ‘roots’ of the modern warfare era, which would refer to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. We’ll have to wait and see, whatever it is – we think they got the message last year.
As for the Destiny sequel – there are many rumours floating around the internet today and according to Kotaku they’re all fake, so be careful what you pick up on when it comes to the confirmed incoming sequel. However, it’s real and if you’re a Destiny fan you have reason to rejoice!
