Free Games Vrydag Winner Joins The Yakuza

Vrydag has come in full swing! Yet another week of 2017 has flown by and most of us have now settled into our routines. Next week is the dreaded day of love where people with stock in chocolate and flowers are going to be very happy. Also, if your significant other is cool enough, they’ll give you a game as a symbol of love. Just make sure you don’t just give a teddy bear in return because games are expensive, man.

We’ll be real with you, dear reader, this week has been relatively slow on the gaming front. Trying to find some worthwhile news to talk about was a mission and a half. But we persevered and still brought along a slew of great content for your reading pleasure. For reviews this week, Zain played with some digital monsters in Digimon World: Next Order, Kyle had a look at Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue which is still a mouthful to say, Dawid played with some chipmunks in Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers and David did a video review of Hitman’s first season. We had not one but two interviews this week that you don’t want to miss. Garth sat down with the guys behind Torment: Tides of Numenera for an exclusive interview and we also interviewed the man with the most time and most patient wife most platinum trophies in South Africa. Garth looked at the four most common pitfalls of gamers and the burning question this week asked if playing games on easier difficulties spoils the experience. David also had some hands-on time with the Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta.

And now for what you’ve all been waiting for, the winner of the delightfully strange and possible Game of the Century, Yakuza 0. And the winner who will be singing some drunk karaoke is none other than the beautiful:

Adriaan Van Niekerk

Congratulations to Adriaan for winning this kooky and crazy prize! We’ll be in contact with you soon to get some details and send your prize off.

Thanks to Ster Kinekor for sponsoring this week’s prize!

And there you have it folks, a nice and productive week. Enjoy Valentine’s Day as much as you can next week, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, which honestly isn’t all that much outside of skydiving and going to Joburg on a Friday night. As always, we love to talk to you beautiful people in the comments, on social media and in our fantastic forum so keep on doing that.

Free Games Vrydag is back next week with another wonderful prize! I’d spoil it for you right now, but my honor would be on the line.
