If you know me by now you’ll probably have realised that I do love my JRPGs. It makes me happy to see some of these coming to the West more and more often now days. This time we have Tokyo Xanadu coming to the PS4 and PC sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. The game was originally released in September 2015 on the Vita with a PS4 version being released a year later, both solely released in Japan. The Vita version titled Tokyo Xanadu will be released in NA on the 30th of June 2017 where as the European Vita version unfortunately has no set date as yet. The PS4 and PC versions however, which have more story content and upgraded visuals, and is titled Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is the version of the game set to launch in both NA and EU late 2017. Which I’m assuming will be the same time EU will get the Vita version as well.
Check out a short synopsis of the game as well as a trailer below (unfortunately the trailer isn’t in English).
10 years ago, a colossal earthquake devastated Tokyo and changed the lives of its inhabitants forever. The city has since been rebuilt and life has slowly returned to a semblance of normalcy. However, behind the veil of this newly rebuilt metropolis lies another world, one with a sinister secret. The earthquake that originally destroyed Tokyo was actually caused by the emergence of a mysterious and lethal shadow world known as Eclipse. Now, action must be taken to thwart the legions of Eclipse and ensure the protection of peace!
