Capcom is bringing back some classics with The Disney Afternoon Collection

There’s nothing better than a good cartoon and let’s face it, Disney has had some of the best. We’ve all seen the likes of Gargoyles and Recess and probably have a couple of fond memories of them. I know they played a major part in my daily routine years ago and even now I sometimes put on Gummi Bears when I need something feel good. The thing most of us probably missed out on however is that some of the cartoons happened to get some pretty enjoyable NES games and it looks like Capcom is ready to bring them back with the Disney Afternoon Collection.

Chip’n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip’n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Duck Tales, Duck Tales 2, Darkwing Duck, and TaleSpin look to be getting the Mega Man Legacy Collection treatment on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on the 18th of April. There’s no mention of this collection for a Nintendo platform which feels like a huge oversight considering the games’ origins, but there is a chance it could come home at a later date. It’s nice to see Capcom and Digital Eclipse bring these games back in the most authentic way possible and I hope that The Disney Afternoon Collection will manage to give us an enjoyable return to some classic games.
