Its a good time to be a Dragon Quest fan. In October last year we received the open-world RPG sandbox title Dragon Quest Builders, and a month prior to that the remastered version of Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past dropped, and in January this year we also got the remastered version of Dragon Quest VIII: The Journey of the Cursed King both on the Nintendo 3DS. All three titles scoring well here on SA Gamer. And in just over a month we will be receiving the sequel to the musou hack and slash, Dragon Quest Heroes II.
Enticing fans even more, not that we need it, Square Enix has released three new trailers showing of the highly anticipated next installment in the main line series of the Dragon Quest video game franchise – Dragon Quest XI.
The first trailer shows off both the PS4 and 3DS versions of the game whereas the second trailer shows off only the PS4 version and the third trailer shows off only the 3DS version. Dragon Quest XI will be launching on both the PS4 and 3DS (a Nintendo Switch version has been announced but no date has been given on the release) on the 29th of July 2017 in Japan, so I’m crossing fingers for a release in the West six months down the line.
