    I've got the 43K300UW so can't test the firmware as the site only has firmware for 49" and up. Activated HDR using the methods described earlier in this thread so now my set thinks it's in Europe.

    No point letting guys know that the firmware is available but that it doesn't work.

    I have been battling for weeks now with Hisense SA to get my hands on the firmware. Once i get that it will be worth posting.

    I have been trying to use Hisense ZA firmware update for my 55K3300UW and the extracted file doesn't have the extension ".PKG" so I am guessing it's because of this wrong format you mentioned. I've been on the phone with their customer service and they seem baffled as to why it doesn't want to work on my TV. The guy I spoke to said that he's going to find out from his people about this and let me know what is to be done on Monday. He said that usually when people have this type of problem they either download the file again and then never call back, or they have a specific firmware sent to them.

    I found it somewhat strange that nobody could tell me which version the firmware is, or when exactly it was updated on the site

    Nevertheless, I am hopeful for this to work, but @Kirsch360 seems to have gone through this process already with no luck I will post an update on this thread if there is any positive outcome next week.

    It baffles me how difficult they make this process. All other regions have software updates on the regular and whats more is when an update is available for download it actually works.

    I have been told numerous times by Hisense support that they are aware that the links on the website don't work. Yet they aren't removed or fixed.

    I have the product training specialists number who was supposed to call me to discuss and send me a dropbox link. He has not replied to one email. Nor answered or returned a single call. I have his number and am willing to PM it to anyone who wants it so we can spam his call logs.

    This lack of customer service is appaling

    I hear you. I get that in SA the TV will have different apps and that might require more work from Hisense ZA. But then they mustn't tease us with official updates that don't work

    I find it strange how Hisense tells me that they know nothing about why the update isn't working on my TV - as if I'm doing something wrong. Nevertheless, if they don't have the real firmware, why post it? Maybe they need their site to look like they do their work, LOL. They could post a previous version or something, but maybe they don't have that either.

    I hope I am wrong I am very happy with my TV, but would like to jam my PS4 in glorious HDR, albeit 8bit. It would be nice to enjoy this thing's capabilities.
