    Default Minecraft Switch Edition

I haven't paid for Minecraft since it was in alpha on pc, so I thought, ah why not. And now I can't put it down - just basic survival mode - still super addictive. It runs really well and the controls feel great; I was worried since I'm used to playing with keyboard and mouse - but it's actually fine.

I'm also keen on how easy it is to drop in/out for local multiplayer.

    Anyone else take the plunge?

Only thing I wish for is the option to join a public server.

Got it for my kids but haven't checked it out yet. They adore this game, so Switch version was a no-brainer.

Spending more time playing it than I anticipated.

It feels really good on the switch. I play it mostly in handheld mode, it looks beautiful, it plays nice. UI navigation feels fast and natural. There is limited touch screen integration which helps a bit. The 720p on the TV also looks fine but I suppose if u have the PS4 or Xbone versions it may look crappier in comparison.

Fighting mobs is easier on the mouse/ keyboard though. Especially flipping skeletons. It takes some serious strafing to not get hit. There's a real noticeable disadvantage there.

Anyway, don't judge please. Minecraft actually used to be a game for adults

Yeah it holds up really well tbh. If Microsoft can fix up the docking issues so it can run at 1080p I'll definitely pick it up..... who am I kidding, it's just a matter of time. My kids are already harassing me daily.
