My brother complained about it when we were playing a game together so I will need to send mine in to be fixed.

Yeah it happens to me sometimes if I block the direct line to the console with my knee or something. But possibly because I also sit pretty far from the TV (Its big enough to do so... /gloat). I'll fix it myself eventually, but its hardly a hassle right now.

It's just a small square of conductive foam. You can also solder a small piece of wire (& void the warranty). Spawnwave had a vid before Nintendo admitted there was a problem & offered a fix.

Why would you do that when you can just send it in to be fixed for free?

My left joy-con does this sometimes. I mostly notice it when playing BotW and Link suddenly commits suicide by running of a ledge or something. I have since bought another pair of controllers, so it doesn't bother me that much anymore. I just keep the original controllers attached, in which case it does not disconnect. I have also emailed Nintendo and they gave me instructions for sending it in, but I was afraid of doing it because it might take a long time to get back, or they would say they tested it for like 2 minutes and they could not replicate the issue...

I don't understand... it's under warranty plus i posted my experience of returning it which was quick and painless. It's a known issue and they know how to fix it. Mine works perfectly now.

How regularly did yours disconnect/glitch? Mine does it very randomly, sometimes let's say after 30min and then again after 5 and then it can be ok again for 40, etc. I can usually fix it by sitting upright and making sure there aren't any obstructions. Was your's more or less similar and they fixed it, or was your's worse?

I'm used to these things, ps3 controllers, ps4 controllers, psp1000 analog sticks.
I might send it in but then do I just return it to the retailer?
