Why not just switch off the motion interpolation?
I thought the KU has a 8 bit panel and the MU a 10 bit. Is that not the case? Or does it not make a big difference?

They both can display a 10-bit greyscale.

The Lg has the better os and remote. Also handles lower quality video better , but generally they are pretty similar . Its not a ks8000 but both are decent. I'd take the lg as it doesnt have the judder issue the sammy has

    Judder issue?

The big difference between the LG and Samsungs is that LG uses IPS panels - due to this their TVs have poor black levels and so lack contrast compared to their competitors.

Im not too familiar with new tv's but i know from a out of warranty repair point of view the LG offers better after sales service with spares availability,

The common problem on 50" and over are backlights going faulty, i know that LG does provide these spares to customers where as Samsung does not, also LG services in montague gardens are easy to deal with where as Liptronics are not

    Can’t say I agree.

Liptronics is no different than LG to deal with and parts availability is hardly a problem with Samsung being assembled locally in Durban.

Backlights shouldn’t be an issue on anything that isn’t ancient and is LED based.

That being said Samsung has been notoriously unreliable of late from personal experience and I wouldn’t buy their products without serious consideration.

But then again I wouldn’t buy LG in the first place.

Yea the ku7000 has a judder issue , they noted it on the rtings review as well , its eliminated by the dejudder option , but then the movement doesnt seem natural

    Samsung doesnt sell backlights

    LG does

I deal with these people everyday

    Lg has better services

They keep parts on the shelf longer, and spares are reasonable
