I have not, still undecided on the 27" or the 29" ultrawide. Need to see the ultrawide in front of me first before I make s decision.

Some months back, Game in Canal Walk had the 25" ultrawide in-store but I don't know about the 29".

If you find a 29" in-store, let us know where. I'd like to see it as well.

I got the Dell yesterday and it's quite good. The FreeSync seems nifty but I haven't played enough to know for sure. The picture quality has me uncertain.

I'm coming from a TN Samsung P2770 and I was quite happy with it after calibration. The Dell, being IPS, has better viewing angles, which I like, but worse contrast. The colours seem good but I can't seem to find a balance between contrast and brightness yet. The picture felt a bit too blue but I adjusted the RGB values and it's better now.

The monitor has a simple stand and thin bezel but I don't know how much space you'll save. The image quality is good but I think I could continue using my old monitor without much complaint.

Saw the 29" at dion wired. I like how wide it is but the hight is a put off though.

Thanks - Dion Wired in Canal Walk?

What about the height didn't you like?

Yes canal walk. It just didn't look high enough but because it's ultrawide it looks lower. I'm going back and going to ask them to put it side by side with the Dell.

    For comparison

Yes, they are lower - even the 25". What you gain in width is sacrificed in height. I think it's in part to get a 21:9 aspect ratio rather than 16:9.

I see you have a 26". The height drop of the 29" might just be the height of your current monitor - just now with added width.

When you go, take a tape measure as well
