CoD: Ghosts Invasion DLC finally dated for PC and PlayStation platforms

call-of-duty-dlc

If you’re an Xbox 360 or Xbox One player you would have been enjoying the Invasion DLC since 3 June earlier this month, because of the early exclusive agreement with Activision. Time has now run out and the content will now be available for download on 3 July next month on PC and PlayStation platforms.

There will be four new, small to medium sized, maps for download, so expect the battles to be as exciting as ever. One of the maps is a remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map – Favela, as well as a fresh mission for Extinction co-op mode.

Herewith more details on each map and mode:

Pharaoh – An abandoned archeological site of an ancient Egyptian palace. Those most adventurous to explore this multi-level map will be handsomely rewarded with its deepest secrets.

Departed – A rural Mexican town amidst the Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) celebration. Complete a Field Order to unlock the Death Mariachi; armed with dual-wielding pistols that turn downed enemies into your own squadmates.

Mutiny – A pirate hideout in a secretive Caribbean cove. This eerie map includes an hauntingly unique killstreak: an escort of ghostly pirates to send your opponents to Davy Jones’ Locker.

Favela – A refreshed version of the fan-favorite Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map. Return to Brazil to fight on the connected rooftops and narrow passageways.

Extinction:

Episode 3: Awakening – Descend into an alien underworld and strike at the mysterious puppet-masters behind the Cryptid invasion. Three new Cryptid species await players, along with some familiar enemies and allies.

The Xbox 360 version was just over 1.5GB in size, so expect it to be something similar on PC and PS3/PS4.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
