Games of 2015 – PC

With the focus on consoles now over let’s take a look at what the PC has to offer in 2015. Of course the PC is the favoured platform for many gamers given its capabilities but it’s also home to many exclusives which are quite unique to the platform. Let’s take a look at what PC games are coming to you in 2015:

Darkest Dungeon

If monsters and all things evil weren’t quite enough to worry about in Darkest Dungeon, you will also have to keep an eye on your heroes’ mental well-being. They can easily become alcoholics and will also have to deal with many different phobias – sounds like fun. This turn-based RPG title has an amazing-looking art style, and judging by the gameplay that has been released it’s one to keep your eye on for 2015.

You know Blizzard can do no wrong? FACT! That’s why we are very intrigued by Overwatch. Sure, it steals a lot of its ideas from the likes of Team Fortress 2, but for some reason we still can’t wait to get our hands on it. Hopefully we don’t see this one get delayed to 2016, this is Blizzard we talking about after all.

Ever wondered what it would be like to sit in a log cabin all day and watch out for forest fires? Well stop traffic, because now you can do just that in the upcoming Firewatch. It’s a beautifully-looking first person RPG that is draped in mystery and intrigue, and surely some fires along the way.

Unreal Tournament

Now this is one remastered game we do want to see. Imagine all the frantic action of the 1999 classic running on the Unreal 4 engine? The game will be updated visually but leave the gameplay completely intact (the way it should be). Perhaps we will get some new game modes but other than that details are scarce on this gem.

Let me introduce you to Epic’s very first game running on the glorious Unreal 4 engine, Fortnite. The game will allow you to flex your creative muscle and build a defensive structure from which you and your team can defend. Once the sun sets monsters will attack you and it’s up to you and your friends and your sturdy structure to hold off the countless waves of attacks, sign us up.

Battlecry is Bethesda’s upcoming free-to-play venture with a focus on team-based combat in a multiplayer arena. In Battlecry you get to be the warrior as you pick your class type and choose from different weapons and armour. It looks like it is going to be pretty frantic but with the free-to-play model in place it should have a huge amount of people playing it bringing tons of variety.

Total War: Attila

One thing that PC’s are simply built for in the gaming industry is strategic games. The Total War series is one of the most popular and it appears as though the upcoming Attila will follow the same trend. Attila is set in the Dark Ages as you take the lead of The Huns in this epic war come strategy game. It’s sure to be a goodie and it releases as soon as February 2015.

Heroes of the Storm

If you happen to be a fan of Blizzard games then Heroes of the Storm is right up your alley. It takes characters from your favourite Blizzard games such as Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft and places them in an online multiplayer arena. It’s another that is going the free-to-play route but given the backing it is getting from Blizzard it could turn out to be something special.

That’s about it from the PC side of things. If we have left out anything that’s on your radar for PC be sure to let us know, and of course share what you are looking forward to most out of the PC exclusives!
