Yesterday it was announced that, for the 16th and final free DLC pack, CD Projekt Red would be providing the much requested New Game + mode to The Witcher 3. CDPR has now released a detailed description of exactly what will carry over and unfortunately, your hard-earned Gwent deck will be left behind.
The obvious non-transferable items were also included in the description (quest items, books/letters, consumables, trophies) but ultimately I think that a lot of people are going to be quite disappointed that they will need to hunt down 150+ cards all over again. I suppose this makes sense though, considering the amount of quests that revolve around the popular card game and it wouldn’t exactly be fair to let us play the game from the start with a perfectly stacked deck.
According to a forum post by Marcin Momot, we can expect a transfer of money, items (excluding those listed above) and experience when we start New Game +. If you are below level 30, you will automatically be bumped up and given the appropriate amount of talent points. You will also be given a free Clearing Potion should you wish to respec with a new build.
No release date has been set for the DLC as CD Projekt Red has stated that more time is needed for development.
