Some voice actors only play a few roles, but often those roles are ones that stand out in your memory. So it is with this week’s featured voice actor, Catherine Taber.
Catherine Taber is an American voice actress who has spent quite a lot of time in the Star Wars universe. A fan herself, Taber has voiced numerous characters in Star Wars games, including Mission “Just Die Already” Vao, the young blue Twi’lek companion in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Princess Leia in the Force Unleashed games and Padmé Amidala in the Clone Wars film and TV series, as well as the associated games and the LEGO Clone Wars game. She also voices another blue Twi’lek companion named Vette in Star Wars The Old Republic, and will be voicing Leia and Padmé in the upcoming Disney Infinity 3.0 game.
Outside of the Star Wars universe, Taber has voiced Penelo in Final Fantasy XII and Countess Anise in Guild Wars 2. Although most of Taber’s video game roles so far have been supporting characters, her performances always stand out for me. Mission Vao is probably my favourite character from Knights of the Old Republic, and Countess Anise from Guild Wars 2 is a character that stands out in that game. Read on to discover some of Taber’s other roles.
