Grey DeLisle was one of the first voice actor names I learnt, way back in 1999 when she played Queen Amidala in the video game of Star Wars Episode I and later in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. She remains one of my favourite voice actors.
Grey Griffin (previously known as Grey DeLisle) is an American voice actress with a very long list of credits in video games, TV series and films. If you’ve watched any cartoons in the last few decades, you’ve probably heard her voice in roles like Vicky from The Fairly OddParents, Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Bill & Mandy and Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender, as well as dozens of minor roles in cartoons like Johnny Bravo, Rugrats, Codename Kids Next Door, and many more. Perhaps most notably, she took over the role of Daphne in Scooby Doo in the early 2000s.
In video games, Griffin has been busy since the late nineties, though her major roles have been more recent: Jeanne in the Bayonetta games, the female wizard in Diablo III and Catwoman in the Batman: Arkham series.
Early Video Game Roles: Various characters in Baldur’s Gate (1998), Queen Amidala in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Notable Roles: Nova (Starcraft II), Catwoman (Batman: Arkham series), Jeanne (Bayonetta), Female Wizard (Diablo III)
