The developers behind Allison Road had great news to share on their Kickstarter page not too long ago. As you can tell, the developers, Lilith, put the idea up on Kickstarter hoping that crowdfunding would help complete their project. Now a big developer has extended their hand to help the independent studio and that developer is none other than Team17. They’re mostly known for their Worms and Alien Breed games, but what’s great about Team17 is that they’re also an independent developer.
If you don’t know who Team17 are, they are most known for their Worms franchise, however, they run a fully independent games label. For us it’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports developers like Playtonic,Mouldy Toof and many others.
Working with Team17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support and experience that only a 25 year old studio can give.
For all of you that have pledged already for in game rewards, we absolutely promise you that we will look at ways outside of Kickstarter that will allow you to be involved in the game at a later date.
After the news broke, Lilith closed the kickstarter campaign. At that point, the managed to raise £145 959 of their £250 000 goal. Now that they are with a bigger studio, let’s hope they can pull of a great game, especially since it’s being called the spiritual successor to Kojima’s P.T.
