The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might be getting a new game, and if a listing found on the Australian Classification Board is to be believed, then it might be a good one. A listing for a new TMNT game, titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, has been discovered, with Activision as Publisher and Platinum Games as its author.
According to details on the listing, it has been rated M for mature, which is pretty much all Platinum Games considering their love for hacking and slashing. Their latest hit, Transformers: Devastation, was a surprisingly entertaining game and a bit of hit for me. Their other work includes Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising Revengence, Wonderful 101 and The Legend of Korra – not a bad line up, except for Korra.
Looking at the partnership, and how entertaining Transformers: Devastation was, I think this will be a good thing for the renaissance men, I mean- NINJA TURTLES!. I’ve never been disappointed by a Platinum Games title, so I’d like to see how this plays out and how the final product will look. For now, until either party admits there’s a TMNT game in the loop, I’ll treat this as a rumour. What do you think?
