Having made it very clear at the Xbox conference that console and PC gamers are going to join forces when it comes to Microsoft players, be it console or PC, it has left many wondering how console gamers will be able to keep up with PC gamers. It’s a known fact that controllers cannot compete in the same space as a mouse and keyboard. According to Phil Spencer it’s still in development and will be coming to Xbox One. Here’s what he said in an interview with PCgamesN:
I keep talking about it in the press and my platform team keeps shaking their head, because they… Truthfully in our dev kit modes now keyboard works, mouse support is a little bit further away. I say it because I know it’s not years away, it’s more like months away, but we don’t have an exact date yet.
Good to hear it’s still being working, but the fact that the SEGA Dreamcast in 1999 had mouse and keyboard support that worked without a patch right out of the box baffles me to no extent. At the very least it’s at least being worked on.
