Resident Evil 4 remaster gets a launch date – Finally!

resident evil 4

Capcom has been confusing us a lot lately. Especially when they started counting backwards when Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 for current gen consoles was announced, starting with RE6 and moving backwards in terms of launch dates. Well, we finally have a date for Resident Evil 4, and that date is set for 30 August on PS4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 4 is arguably one of the best games ever made, and it is often seen as the pinnacle of the series. One could argue that Capcom decided to release in the particular order to save the best for last, which would make sense, considering everyone would be too busy playing RE4 to care about the other two. Resident Evil 4 did everything right in terms of pacing, story, gameplay, action and suspense.

The release will include all the extras, costumes, Ada Wong DLC and Mercenaries mode. The price of the game hasn’t been confirmed yet, but both RE5 and RE6 cost R299 locally, which should give us some indication of what to expect. If you’ve been living in some forsaken Eastern European village all your life, and haven’t played Resident Evil 4, then now is the time to get it!
