The PlayStation Pro has made all the headlines of late and it is promising much improved experience in the visual department. You’d be lying to yourself if you did not think that it feels like somewhat of a PC-like upgrade. So, the question is if this upgrade matches the PC?
A user on Neogaf, Wishmaster92, did a direct comparison shot of Rise of the Tomb Raider that compares the upscaled 4K version on the PS4 Pro and maxed native 4K on PC. It’s very obvious that the PC version of the game still definitely looks much more crisp, because of it being native. What he did point out was the fact that there are 3 settings on the PS4 Pro version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. In an interview it was said that the 1080P 30FPS version would look better as it would include “Multi-pass rendering, much better shading, pbr lighting and more”.
