EA recently launched a trailer on behalf of Bioware urging users to join the Andromeda Initiative. We’re not exactly sure what this entails, but the trailer suggests that an update on the title will be revealed 7 November 2016, also known as N7 Day. There’s also ambiguous reference to a time line originating from “a future that begins 600 years from where we stand,” Nope. Not vague at all.
In the twitter-sphere, right after the trailers release, some interested parties decided to quench their curiosity by posting question at Mac Walters, Creative Director of Mass Effect: Andromeda. His response, vague of course not giving away too much detail, that the new trailer is voiced by the father (still nameless) of the game’s protagonist duo, the Ryder siblings.
On the Andromeda Initiative website there’s reference to “special training opportunities,” which could be a beta perhaps? Although nothing has been confirmed. Producer Michael Gamble alluded that there might be some sort of reward for signing up for the Andromeda Initiative
by mentioning that he “know[s] what’s in it for those who do…”
On another note, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has indicated that the game could yet again be delayed, stating “we are willing to make moves in launch dates if we feel it’s necessary to deliver the right player experience.” With the release scheduled for the end of March 2017, we can only hope that there are no more delays for the long-awaited title. With that said, I’m sure we can all appreciate the developers pursuit of a complete game and fulfilling the user experience.
In the meantime, we await the announcement on N7 Day
and hopefully get more insight into the journey we hope to embark on in the vast new galaxy as conveyed by the publisher.
So, Sign Up
for the initiative, maybe? Have a look at the trailer as well and share your thoughts with us.
