Video: Tekken 7 receives a new action-packed trailer, still no release date

On Friday night the Golden Joystick Awards took place in the UK. This awards ceremony has been running for 30 years already, since 1986. It had very humble beginnings back then as it’s a readers choice awards show that originally had the winners appearing in various gaming magazines. Now it’s an actual, very amateur, awards show. At this show a few trailers were shown off for one or two existing and new games, but the new Tekken 7 trailer had by far the most impact.

Unfortunately you won’t see any new characters being introduced (I’m still waiting for Lei), but if it does one single thing it’s that you’ll walk away feeling like you need this in your life right now. It’s been a long time since Tekken 6 that we had some one-on-one fighting in a Tekken game, though Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was fantastic in its own right. Hopefully we get that exact release date soon, other than just knowing that it’ll come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in Q1.

If you’re a Tekken fan you’re going to get a kick out of this trailer:

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
