Rocket League, which has had over 1 Billion matches played since it launched in 2015, has been a huge success. So much so that Psyonix, the game’s developer will be adding full PS4 Pro support for the game in an upcoming update:
On 21st February, we will release a new update that allows Rocket League to run at both 1080p (on a standard PS4) and 4K (on PS4 Pro) at 60 frames per second in all arenas for single and two-player split-screen modes. Three and four-player split-screen modes will offer 60 frames per second in most arenas at the same resolutions.
The game will run at 60 fps on a standard PS4 as well, so at least there won’t be any unfair advantages. The update will coincide with the recently announced Hot Wheels DLC, which featured two Hot Wheels themed cars for $1.99 each and some vanity items that will be free even for those who don’t buy the DLC.
