Ah yes, the gaming backlog, the bane of every video gamer’s existence! We all have one varying on different degrees of size, especially if you’re part of the PC master race and you’re addicted to Steam sales. It’s an every growing problem, and if the start of the year is anything to go by, then this backlog is not going anywhere! Luckily for me, I don’t play games on PC, but I still have a sizable backlog, which I decided to tackle head-on.
So how am I going to go about it? Well, I decided that I needed to start somewhere, so I found a website called Grouvee.com which allowed me to catalogue all the games I own and have played. It took a while, but I managed to list all the games from PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, which is mostly what my backlog consists of. I ended up having just over 300 games to get through (at the time of writing) thanks to games I bought on sale, PS+ and Xbox Gold. What is nice about Grouvee though is that you can randomly pick a game to play, which is exactly what I did, and ended up with:
Ni No Kuni is a game I’ve been wanting to play for some time. It’s been part of my backlog for a very long time. To be honest, I started playing it back in 2013, but then a little title called Grand Theft Auto V released and the rest is history. So I plan on giving it some proper love and attention now, and will provide a bit of feedback on what I thought of it, seven years after it’s initial release.
I plan on doing a few of these, and hopefully I can make a dent in that ever growing backlog, or at least, keep it in check. So wish me luck!
