Mario Kart the zany, insanely weird go-kart racer is about to hit the Nintendo Switch in a beefed up version straight from the Wii U.
Believe it or not, my first introduction to the Mario Kart franchise was not on the SNES, N64, GBA or the GameCube. It was in fact on the Nintendo DS, Mario Kart DS. It was introduced to me by none other than Dawid Venter during my first rAge expo back in 2006. What impressed me the most is the fact that all you needed was one cartridge of the game that could be shared with a total number of eight players!
Since then I’ve become a rather large fan of the series and quite excited to see more on the “Souped-Up” version that is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe hitting the Nintendo Switch. In a recent trailer released we see exactly what buffs they’ve added to the deluxe version of – in my personal opinion – the slickest, smoothest and zaniest Mario Kart title to date. Check out the trailer below and if you’ve sold your Wii U to perhaps purchase a Switch its best to make sure that come the 28th of April 2017 (expected date) you’ve made room in your video game library for this epic racer.
