It is very rare that a game in Early Access will break the 2 million sales mark, especially after only a few months. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has managed to do just that and it looks like those sales numbers will only keep climbing in the coming months. The game is only available through Steam Early Access for the time being but developer Bluehole is already looking into porting it to Xbox One. The game uses the Unreal Engine 4 engine which makes it quite easy to port to the Xbox One according to PlayerUnkown himself, creative director Brendan Greene.
The development team is currently looking at porting the game over to Xbox One but there is no time frame in place for when the game might come out on console. Greene said that they are going to spend the next 6 months getting the game out of Early Access so that it can be sold as a finished game and that is the main focus at the moment. If you are a fan of battle royale games and you have a PC you pretty much need to be playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds right this minute.
