Yup, you read that headline right, Square Enix and Platinum Games’ Nier: Automata has now sold more than 1.5 million copies. That’s the worldwide figure consisting of both physical sales and digital sales.
Considering the cost of the game and how niche it is, I think it sold really well. Even Square Enix President, Yosuke Matsuda said it exceeded their expectations.
I can’t comment on the game myself as I’ve not played it, nor have I played the first game. Having said that, everyone I know who has played it, loved it.
If you happen to be interested in it, the game is available on PS4 and PC. The first game was on PS3, but you’ll need a little bit of luck finding a copy. I’ve been looking around for one for a while with no luck.
