Happy Vrydag you beautiful people! Welcome to the chilly month of June. The heaters have probably come out at this point and many of us are playing games while being snug under a blanket. I’m even writing this post under a blanket on my bed. While June is relatively quiet on the releases front, it’s a month of much excitement because E3 is happening. New games, big announcements, juicy news and all that good stuff. The event is kicking off in a couple of weeks and it’s gearing up to be a big one. We even got some early leaks of games that will make an appearance.
We’re going to be busy at SA Gamer and a couple of us are leaving the country while the rest will stay awake until the early hours in order to get some news to you. Don’t say we never loved you. Until then, we’re still keeping busy, as always. For reviews this week, Garth shot through Tokyo 42, Daniel was a dead man walking in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Abigail honed her parental instinct in The Sims 4 Parenthood, and Zain reviewed *inhales* Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and he also blasted into the past with Super C and no, not the sweets. I asked the Burning Question this week of how important is gaming news to you, Abigail hopped into Overwatch for the first time and recounted her experience, and Garth recommended 10 ways how Overwatch can improve those pesky loot boxes.
Now, to crown the King of the Iron First. The champion who has defeated the overwhelming power of the fearsome Random.org and emerged a victor. The one who will take Tekken 7 as their prize. It is none other than:
Donovan de Kock
Congratulations to Donovan for emerging victorious! We’ll be in touch with you soon to get your details. Enjoy
fisting punching other people!
Thanks to Megarom for sponsoring this smashing prize!
New month, new smells, new excitements on the horizon. We’re gearing up for some wonderful surprises and drinking litres of coffee since timezones exist and Sony will have their conference when the roosters start screaming. We hope you all will be there along with us and excited for how the future of gaming looks. It’s been spectacular this year already and gaming is on the up and up. Maybe just read the summary of EA’s conference though, they’ll probably have someone on stage talking about shoes for 20 minutes.
Free Games Vrydag returns next week! E3 is coming and we’re going to go all out in more ways than one. Make sure you’re here.
