If you are a Kingdom Hearts fan, you have been waiting for this for a long time. Too long, really. Tetsuya Nomura said that showing Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 2013 was a mistake. If you hate long waits, then the reveal really was a thorn in the side. Now, four years later, we get a peek at what is happening in Kingdom Hearts 3.
This Japanese audio only trailer was released for those who didn’t get to see the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour concert in Los Angeles. Without a translator on hand, there is still a lot to see in the trailer. Larger environments, bigger battles with large boss monsters, the party size limit seemingly increased to four (so you don’t need to turf Donald or Goofy when Hercules or another hero joins you for a world), Sora has a host of flashier moves and high-power spells, team-work moves and more.
We also see Maleficent, Hades and Pete, who are most likely plotting something, as well as Xemnas talking to Sora and saying something about Roxas before pointing at Sora with a question which makes Sora do a double take. What is going on here?
The trailer ends with a tease that another trailer is on the way at Disney’s D23 Expo on July 15, which will show a new world.
