Happy Vrydag everyone! We’re getting back to the regularly scheduled programming after the madness that was E3 and our gigantic competition that ran for an entire month. It’s good to be back in the saddle during the quiet and cold month of July. Game releases are going to be a bit sparse this month, but gaming is at the healthiest and most active it has ever been. Even during the dry months, we have had a whole bunch of reviews going up. It’s a wonderful time to be a gamer and we’re honoured to be right there with you through it all.
We have been very busy here and our beautiful and handsome writers have been providing you with wonderful perspectives and opinions. For reviews this week, Charlie went driving with the kids in Cars 3: Driven to Win, Garth made some corpses explode in Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer and Zain had a consultation with Dr. Mario in the Blast from the Past. For Hidden Heroes this week, we took a look at Yoshiaki Koizumi, Charlie thinks pixel counting should 4K right off, I got a little personal talking about Stardew Valley and how games can be used as therapy, Kyle took a look at 6 games where the hype train was derailed and the Burning Question for this week asked if digital games were spoiling it for collectors.
Now, for the seven of you that will be clicking your fingers off and making poor innocent corpses explode. The 7 wonderful winners of Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer are:
- James Enslin
- Craig Hayes
- Mathew Goncalves
- Johann Smit
- Carl Steijn
- Warren Hammond
- Arne van der Walt
Congratulations to our winners for getting this wonderful corpse-animating prize! We’ll be in touch with you to get your codes to you soon.
Thanks to Megarom for sponsoring this week’s prizes!
And so the first Friday of July has come and gone. I hope all of you are busy enjoying your games and saving up money for the absolutely mad rush that will be the end of the year. We’ll be here all the way so don’t forget to check in and get some juicy and wonderful gaming content. Make sure the heaters are on and you wear enough layers, we don’t want any of you turning into popsicles.
Free Games Vrydag returns next week! The prize might have seemed like a fantasy, but the zodiac signs show us that it will be an exciting one.
