Capcom is no newcomer to HD remakes and reboots, just look at the whole Resident Evil franchise. Case in point, their latest remaster is Resident Evil Revelations, which is a remaster of a remaster of a 3DS exclusive. Yes, it runs that deep and that weird. The game will be released at the end of August for our North American friends, but will only see an autumn release in Europe, which will be spring time for us.
The first Revelations follows the story of Jill Valentine as she and her new partner, Parker, investigate a derelict ship that is infested with B.O.W.s. Chronologically, it takes place before Resident Evil 5, even before the DLC Lost in Nightmare. It’s one of the better Resident Evil games post Resi 4 and certainly one that any horror fan should play. I highly doubt there will be any significant changes from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but I expect all the costumes and additional content.
The game has come a long way and was originally released on the 3DS, which remains my favourite version of it. Be sure to check out the release trailer for it below.
