Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 heading to Switch late 2017

When you consider that Resident Evil Revelations was originally an exclusive title for the Nintendo 3DS, then it’s a little ironic that you can find the game now on just about any format available today. Later this month in August a remastered version of Resident Evil Revelations and the sequel will be heading to the PS4 and Xbox One, but now it’s also been confirmed for the Switch.

This was confirmed this morning via a Tweet on the official Resident Evil account:

It’s the first time Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be appearing on a Nintendo console, though the first game appeared on the 3DS (as mentioned above) as well as the Wii U. The collection will sell as a physical copy, though Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be included in this bundle as a download title (you’ll basically receive a download code in the box). All previous DLC will be included, as well as Raid mode and online co-op. We’re hoping there is an offline co-op mode planned for the Switch, though it’s not seeming likely.

So far this has only been confirmed for the US, though we don’t think European territories will be left out in the cold. We really do hope they consider porting Resident Evil 7 to the Switch if this succeeds, it would be a good fit.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
