We’re getting a lot more Yakuza in the West and while some people might not like it (*cough*Garth*cough*), I can’t wait. With Yakuza 0 at the beginning of the year and Kiwami at the end of the month, we’ve got quite a bit this year and it looks like we’re almost set for next year too.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will release on the 20th of March 2018 on the PS4. The game will come with a hardcover art book package as the Launch Edition as well as an After Hours Premium Edition. This premium edition will kit buyers out with fantastic leisure items such as:
- Hardcover Art Book
- Two Bar Glasses
- Two Coasters
- An outer box
It’s a little weird that the outer box had to be specified, but the After Hours Premium Edition seems to fit the bill of the Yakuza series. Overall it seems like quite a nice package, but I’m not sure Mountain Dew is a good fit for those glasses.
While it’s all well and good that we’re getting a lot of Yakuza, the ordering is a bit of a problem. I think quite a few of us jumped into the series with Yakuza 0 and will be continuing with the remake of the first game, Kiwami, but I’m not sure how many have played 2-5. We’ll probably see SEGA fill in those games when they start marketing 6 more, but only time will tell.
