Capcom just announced the release of Resident Evil 7 the Gold Edition. This new edition, which is similar to a Game of the Year edition, will sport the original game and all available and upcoming downloadable content.
That means, you’ll receive the two banned footage volumes and the upcoming End of Zoe DLC. They’ve also announced the release date of the Not a Hero DLC, which marks the return of Chris Redfield. The Gold Edition will be released on 12 December later this year with the Not a Hero DLC released on the same day.
I do think it’s a bit early to release a new edition of the game in the same year it is released, but considering the date, it’s definitely to cash in on Christmas. If you haven’t played Resident Evil 7 yet, it’s a good game to get if you are a horror fan.
