Square Enix reveals new game – Left Alive

Tokyo Game Show brought one or two surprises this morning and Left Alive formed a part of that surprise. It was nothing more than a mere teaser from Square Enix. Other than knowing it’ll be an action-shooter there’s little else known about the premise of the game. What we do know is that there is a top team behind the development of this new title.

If the artwork in the image above reminds you of Metal Gear Solid it’s for good reason, as it’s the original artist, Yoji Shinkawa, who worked alongside Hideo Kojima at Konami, is spearheading the art direction in this game. Below is the list of legendary people working on the game:

Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) join forces to create LEFT ALIVE’s dark and gritty world.

It’s heading to PC and PS4. Expect to hear more at E3 next year.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.

I was just about to say that the artwork looks very reminiscent of MGS.
