Hellblade sales to champion Mental Health Awareness in October

Some of you may know close friends or family members who suffer from mental health issues or perhaps suffer from it yourselves. Raising awareness of crippling mental health issues ensures that people who are in need of help find the avenues they require to cope with such illnesses.

Ninja Theory, the studio that brought us Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, tweeted its plans for World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2017 as all proceeds from purchases of the game on the day will go to Rethink Mental Illness, an organisation devoted to assisting those affected by mental illness.

Considering the theme of storytelling Hellblade, which focuses on the main character suffering from psychosis, the charity of choice ties is nicely with Ninja Theory’s game. On top of it all, they also released a powerful new video connected to the game which includes images in the video captured from the photo mode within Hellblade, with dozens of quotes in the video which are real messages received by the team. These messages are related to the way Hellblade affected their lives, providing an in-depth understanding and articulation of mental illness issues.

If you haven’t played Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and would like to give it a try as well as show your support for World Mental Health Day, be sure to grab a copy today.
