Fortnite Battle Royale is the new hotness with 500,000 concurrent players on Sunday

Just two weeks after launch, Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode is climbing up the charts. The game hit over a million players on its first day and on Sunday the game had 525,000 concurrent players across all platforms.

The game has reached 3.7 million daily active users and with the Battle Royale segment of Fornite being free-to-play, it seems to be filling the niche on console for those who might have been waiting for some PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to arrive.

Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode mixes up the battle royale formula with crafting elements and destructible environments to add new layers to the mix.  When Fortnite announced the Battle Royale mode, PUBG developer Bluehole mentioned “considering taking further action”.

At least now I know where all my friends went, they went to a cartoony build it up and shoot it down battle royale.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.

    Well, I am enjoying it.
No need to go get a PC or a xbox later to jam PUBG

PUBG devs should’ve kept quiet, they made too much noise which meant too many PUBG players were suddenly made aware of an alternative.
