Things are really heating up for the Nintendo Switch this festive season. Bethesda has announced that their hit FPS DOOM will release on the new console on 10 November. This is pretty impressive technical accomplishment porting such an intense game on what is basically a handheld and storing all the information on a cartridge.
In addition to DOOM, the Switch will also receive ports of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and L.A. Noire. All these games will release on the console within the same week. Oh, and DOOM will also be marked as the Switch’s first first-person shooter.

If there was ever a good time to buy a new console it would be this Christmas. A lot of new games are coming out and this list is only going to become longer and stronger. My scepticism for the console fades with each passing month and gets replaced with a little bit of FOMO.
Let’s just hope parents are smart enough to see the age restriction and clear demonic entities on the cover, before buying it for the kids.
